Settling in...
Ok, so we've been home for a month now and things are just settling back to normal.
Khan has been back working for the past 2 weeks, whilst I haven't been doing much.
I went to visit my parents in Port Macquarie 3 weeks ago which was good...
I've just managed to negotiate my way back into Liberty...well they were kinda desperate to have me back so I thought it's a good opportunity to get paid whilst putting my folio back together and trying to find something new. So I wangled that I'd work 3 days a week and get an 8% pay rise. They went for it straight away, I was expecting to do 4 days and 5% and would've been happy with that but hey! I ain't complaining! So I start the Tuesday after the big birthday party. Couldn't do Monday...no way...
Other things that have happened recently:
I got my hair cut spanish style (well that's what I think anyways...) and it is particularly short...I like it tho and so does Khan...photos soon...
Went to dinner with Elaine, Mitchell, Jordan and David on Thursday night to a Chinese place on Victoria st which was nice.
Erm, we got a bargain bike for me yesterday from Kmart as I was whining that my dragster just doesn't cut it when it comes to those big rides so Khan and I will be riding on the weekends much more...$85 for a brand new bike! It was down from $150 to $100 and it just happened to be a 15% storewide sale...
Last night went to see the film Tristram Shandy: A cock and Bull story with Karin and her partner Nathan and David as well. The movie is funny as. I highly recommend going and seeing it...very funny shit...oh and check out the website...it is very cool too...
Today we're off to the Camberwell markets. Mitchell and Elaine have a stall there today and so we're gonna go hang out and then maybe go for yum cha at this all vegetarian place in Doncaster. Went there years ago, it's just a bit far out so we never go there...
That's all for now...oh yeah and it looks like i'm going to be getting a very good tax return so saving up to get the hell outta here may take a little less time than anticipated...For those who don't know...the big plan at the moment is to save save save and then look at getting a skilled working visa to Canada and going and living in Canada again working in our rightful professions (whatever that is...) and snowboarding on the weekend...
An awesoe job came up last week...I would kill for it but I just can't do it right now...but it was a graphic design position with Intrawest who just happen to own Whistler and Panorama...thinking season pass if you work there...holy shit...that's exactly what i'd want but anyways, just the wrong time...
I've also been looking at making the boys (Pesto and Roach) into honorary Canadians and it's possible...there's no quarantine. I've asked Pesto how he felt about becoming a Canadian cat...he wasn't too keen having to associate with Frenchy cats but I assured him there probably wouldn't be many where we would be and he was fairly excited about the prospect of meeting a squirrel...
