the new plans...
hmmm...sooooo...seasons change, plans do too...
Our new plans are that we'll be heading to Japan in early February to work wither in a hotel or if we can find it, work on another ski hill. It's most likely going to be the former though. The place we're looking at working at is British Hills. Kinda like where the poor Japanese people go who can't afford a holiday to England. We probably won't get too much culture whilst staying there, but we work a 5 day week so plenty of time to get some kulcha and of course, as it's winter, snowboarding time. The deal is pretty good, free accommodation, free meals, use of the resort facilities, 2 nights in a hotel in Tokyo on arrival, your own room (heard that one before!) and a reduced lift pass at the local ski hill. We'd be staying in Japan for 6 months and then be taking off to Europe for a little bit of European sightseeing before heading to Canadialand, our new home (hopefully!).
We're working on fares at the moment and a round the world fare is something you can't beat for value for money. The route we're looking at is Melbourne > Tokyo > Munich > Prague > make our own way to Moscow > Frankfurt > Vancouver > Honolulu > Sydney. All for under $1800 (not including taxes). Not stopping in London this time but having a look around Eastern Europe a little which should be cool. I'm dying to go to Prague.
So now we have the arduous task of packing everything up, sending the cats up to Eric in Brisvegas, organising garage sales, markets and whatever else to sell all the crap that I've accumulated over the past 5 years. This time we're letting the house go which will be sad but I'm sure I won't shed a tear.
Oh, and stay tned, there will be a party...a big party...
