New look...

Well I thought as I couldn't be bothered making a new blog I should at least make it look a little different...and maybe name it something else as we really have been to Nakiska and done that...

Ok, so the plan is like I said last time...the route hasn't changed, we've bought our tickets and we leave on the 3rd of February.
I picked up my working visa from the Japanese consulate today and we've already packed our snowboard bags.

Some important dates for you all...

14th Jan - Market stall at Camberwell markets...come along and buy some of our crap! We're doing a stall with Elaine and Mitchell and really don't want to bring any of it home...

21st Jan - Garage sale...yep, come grab some of our furniture for a bargain price before we give it all to charity...We need the money people!!!

26th or 27th Jan - Farewell bbq - Ok kids, you've been warned, don't plan on going away for the long weekend or you'll go onto our blacklist, and that's not a fun place to be...

3rd Feb - We fly out at 10:00am...any volunteers to take us to the airport? You'll need a big car as there's 2 snowboard bags!

So that's it for the moment. When we decide we'll be having the party we'll send invites out...but if yr reading this, consider yrself invited...

the new plans...

hmmm...sooooo...seasons change, plans do too...
Our new plans are that we'll be heading to Japan in early February to work wither in a hotel or if we can find it, work on another ski hill. It's most likely going to be the former though. The place we're looking at working at is British Hills. Kinda like where the poor Japanese people go who can't afford a holiday to England. We probably won't get too much culture whilst staying there, but we work a 5 day week so plenty of time to get some kulcha and of course, as it's winter, snowboarding time. The deal is pretty good, free accommodation, free meals, use of the resort facilities, 2 nights in a hotel in Tokyo on arrival, your own room (heard that one before!) and a reduced lift pass at the local ski hill. We'd be staying in Japan for 6 months and then be taking off to Europe for a little bit of European sightseeing before heading to Canadialand, our new home (hopefully!).

We're working on fares at the moment and a round the world fare is something you can't beat for value for money. The route we're looking at is Melbourne > Tokyo > Munich > Prague > make our own way to Moscow > Frankfurt > Vancouver > Honolulu > Sydney. All for under $1800 (not including taxes). Not stopping in London this time but having a look around Eastern Europe a little which should be cool. I'm dying to go to Prague.

So now we have the arduous task of packing everything up, sending the cats up to Eric in Brisvegas, organising garage sales, markets and whatever else to sell all the crap that I've accumulated over the past 5 years. This time we're letting the house go which will be sad but I'm sure I won't shed a tear.

Oh, and stay tned, there will be a party...a big party...
