So it goes.

One of the lessons i've learned (forcefully) over the past few years of my life is to not take bad luck personally.
Well, Marika and I are trying to practice this philosophy now.
Yesterday while taking a 'last' drive around Fernie and it's outskirts we encountered some car trouble, I wont go into it in too much detail until we find out just what the problem is.
Being a long-weekend it's not going to even get looked at until Tuesday, so it goes.
Sadly this means we aren't going to get to catch up with our friend Tom anymore which is certainly a bummer.
Anyone who remembers the last time we left Canada might recall that this is a very similar situation to what we encountered with our last car.
Here's hoping things turn out a little better this time eh!

Now taking coffee, beer, breakfast, lunch and dinner dates...

We have booked our tickets back and fly into Brisvegas on the 10th of June at 11am.

Our plans until then are that we leave Fernie this Sunday (boo hoo) then head to the Yoho National Park where we intend to do some hiking, canoeing and bear spotting. After a  night spent at the Cathedral Mountain Lodge (noice!) we'll head to Lake Louise where we're meeting a buddy we met in Japan, Tom who will be joining us on our second trek through the gorgeous Icefields Parkway.

After the IP we're going the back way through Whistler from Jasper and then from there we'll be heading off via ferry to Nanaimo and around Tofino on Vancouver Island and for some camping, beachy fun.

After all that, we have to get down to business and sell our beloved car... It has been our friend and our little white tank this winter, I can't believe we managed to get through that amount of snow (11 metres was the total snowfall this winter) without getting stuck more often! Anyway, sell the car and hopefully see Devon who will be arriving in June before flying out for the 2nd and definitely not final time.

Plans when we get back to Aus are pretty loose, Khan will be back in Melbourne before me about a week after we fly in. We'll be dragging our snowboard bag around Brisbane! Ha ha!

So if anybody has a house they want to rent to us let us know!

See y'all soon!

yep, there's still lotsa snow on the mountains, oh and it's 26 degrees out there today...
