About the role

I was employed at the State Library of Victoria for just under 5 years. Whilst at the Library, as well as looking after the main website, we created many smaller sites to complement exhibitions, campaigns and events.

As Senior Web Designer, I was involved at the beginning of most projects with planning and scoping of tasks right through to the testing and launch of the site. My role was varied and allowed me to expand my usability and interaction design skills with wireframing, producing information architecture documents and thinking through things from the users perspective. My main role was to make the interface visually interesting and rich which was sometimes very challenging due to the rather dry nature of the content!
